BROWN FIRING STONEWARE CLAY. Extremely good throwing clay. Warm brown speckle colour in reduction (gas), buff in oxidation (electric). Clay body has a relatively low shrinkage rate and excellent colour response to make it a suitable body for gas/wood firing. Good results also from electric fired kilns. Normal stoneware glazes can be used.     

(Reformulated due to the unavailability of the Gulgong clay deposits) Now fires darker warmer) than the old formula.

Needs higher firing temperatures if vitrification is required.
