Liquitex Satin Medium gives acrylic paint a satin sheen finish, while increasing color saturation and brightness. Use it to lower the viscosity of heavier body paint and increase its flow, or to extend the volume of more fluid paint without affecting acrylic stability. The more you add, the thinner and more transparent color will be, so mix in until you achieve the viscosity and translucency you want. Collaging? Use it direct from the bottle as a lightweight glue. Or try it diluted in an atomizer to fix pastels or chalks.

How to Use:
Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results
Mix as much as you like into acrylic colour to create the viscosity and transparency you want - the more you add, the thinner and more transparent your colour will become
If bubbles appear when stirring, leave to sit while they rise and disappear
This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry
To fix pastel, graphite or chalk, mix 1 part medium to 1 part distilled water and apply with an atomizer or airbrush
Apply with a brush/sponge as a lightweight collaging glue
