Kuretake-Gansai Tambi Watercolour Sets are filled with traditional Japanese watercolours for artists and designers. These extra large pans (4.5 x 2.5cm) are ideal for sketching, illustration, sumi-e, manga, calligraphy and more.

This new palette of Gansai Tambi colours features 6 opalescent watercolour pans that give a different look when used on white or black papers.

Includes: Opal Pink, Opal Copper, Opal Gold, Opal Green, Opal Blue, and Opal Violet.

When painted on white paper, they reflect a slight hint of pale, pearly iridescent colour that changes when viewed at different angles.

When used on black paper, they appear much bolder as strong metallic tones.

These opal colours can also be used over the top of other paints, giving a special effect to regular colours!

Individual watercolor pans each measure about 1 3/4" x 1".

Gansai Tambi are handcrafted, professional-quality pigment inks. These fine-caliber watercolours are highly blendable, with a creamy-smooth consistency found only in traditional Japan.

Apply a wet brush to the pans to activate the colours. Gansai pans may exhibit cracking due to extreme dryness or appear rough in texture due to tiny air bubbles, however neither of these traits affect their quality.

Conforms to ASTM D 4236. Non-toxic and lightfast.
