Entries Now Open for the 135th RQAS Members Annual Art Exhibition

The Royal Queensland Art Society (RQAS) is proud to present its 135th Members Annual Art Exhibition in 2025 – a celebration of artistic excellence and community spirit spanning more than a century.

This annual event is a showcase of creativity and talent from across our membership, featuring artwork in seven diverse categories. From painting and drawing to sculpture, photography and mixed media, members are invited to submit original works exploring a theme of their own choice.

To accommodate the wide range of submissions, this year’s exhibition will be presented in two parts. Each part will run for three weeks and feature a unique selection of works. Once all entries have been finalised, artists will be advised of the relevant exhibition and artwork delivery dates.

Entry Info:

• Entry Deadline: Wednesday 7 May 2025, 3:30pm
• Entry Fee: $30 per artwork (for RQAS Brisbane Branch members)
• Delivery Dates: Entrants will be notified after submissions close

Exhibition Schedule:

• Exhibition 1 Opens: Thursday 5 June, 10:00am
• Exhibition 1 Opening Night: Thursday 5 June, 7:00pm
• Exhibition 2 Opening Night: Friday 27 June, 7:00pm
• Exhibition Closes: Sunday 13 July, 3:30pm

Artwork Pick-Up (Bump-Out):

• Exhibition 1: Monday 23 June, 10:00am–12:00pm
• Exhibition 2: Monday 14 July, 10:00am–12:00pm

Prizes:

• First Prize in Each Section: $600
• Second Prize in Each Section: $300
• Youth Prize (Aged 30 & Under): $150 + Free 12-month Membership
• People’s Choice: Free 12-month Membership (awarded in each exhibition)
