This three-hour experience will be held under marquees on the picturesque Fig Tree lawn. It will start with a 30-minute stroll through the African Region Plants Collection, where participants will observe what is flowering in situ. This will be followed by an inspiring 2.5-hour session drawing from specimens freshly cut precisely for the workshop.

Please make sure you arrive 5 minutes early for a smooth start time.

Please bring a hat and a water bottle.

About the Tutor

Nicole Crosswell is a practising visual artist, arts facilitator, and the scientific illustrator for The Queensland Herbarium at Mt. Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. Her arts practice embodies the phrase ‘to draw’; from contemporary manipulation of physical thread and line through to traditional methods of drawing and mark making.
